Viewpoints of Motherhood
These paintings started in my kitchen, arranging the tufted pom-poms and wired pipe cleaner creatures together that my kid had created, while I cleaned up. In awe of their variation and free spirit I snapped a photo I soon painted. At the suggestion of a good friend I kept painting these top heavy critters, observing them in their natural habit and then imagining them in spaces and adventures out in the world. I hope these bring joy to the viewer and remind us of the preciousness of childhood and free creativity.
